BUYING REAL ESTATE IN THE CARIBBEAN

LUXURY LOCATIONS is a real estate agent, villa rental and villa management company with over ten years experience living and working in Antigua & Barbuda. We have recently expanded our reach and are now offering real estate opportunities throughout the Leeward Islands.

The British Virgin Islands is a unitary territory. It consists of the four main islands of Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Anegada and Jost Van Dyke, along with more than 50 other smaller islands, islets and cays. Our listings are located on Virgin Gorda within the breathtaking Oil Nut Bay luxury development.

Virgin Gorda is a small but perfectly formed island, probably best known for its natural baths which were created when molten volcanic rock cooled just off the coast forming gigantic granite boulders or batholiths, which in turn created a series of tranquil pools and beautiful seawater-flooded grottoes.

It is further distinguished by its pristine harbours which house world-class yacht clubs, resorts that offer breathtaking views and amenities, and the historic Spanish Town, which still has traces of historic streets and mining ruins. It is a mix of modern luxury, untouched landscapes and the ghosts of fallen industries, but most of all, Virgin Gorda is a gorgeous getaway that makes it easy to focus on the present moment.

DISCOVER YOUR VERY OWN PRIVATE PARADISE

If you are looking to purchase a secluded sanctuary located deep in the heart of breathtaking natural beauty, then Virgin Gorda is the spot for you. The third largest island in the British Virgin Islands, Virgin Gorda’s most revered attractions are its natural Baths, but there is plenty more to see and do if you look a little closer.

There are colourful reefs bursting with marine life to explore in the crystal clear waters. You can choose to dive or snorkel through shipwrecks and swim alongside turtles and eagle rays in these warm protected waters.

The calm wind and still waters provide the perfect conditions for wind and water sports for all levels of experience. Day sailing, kite surfing, paddle boarding and kayaking or maybe even a champagne cruise could be a superb way to spend an idyllic afternoon on the water.

The pristine white sand beaches are perfect for relaxation and romance, but if you’re looking for adventure there are hiking trails all over the island suitable for varying experience levels. And as long as you reach the peaks, all of the trails come with a well earned reward of unparalleled views over the island, the ocean and beyond. If you fancy venturing off island and exploring the waters of the British Virgin Islands there are day excursions to be had. You can fish or snorkel, island hop or simply sightsee.

Although there isn’t a great deal of night life on Virgin Gorda, there are a few restaurants that are worth checking out. Hog Heaven is located on the road above Leverick Bay and if you’re looking for awe inspiring views while you sip a cocktail or two then that is the spot. The Bath & Turtle and Chez Bamboo located in Spanish Town are another two popular local restaurants with heaps of vibrant charm, which not only serve delicious food in a colourful, friendly, plant filled environment but also host live music nights. If neither of those tickle your fancy there are amazing restaurants and bars located within each of the luxury developments on island. Likewise most of the best shopping can be found in the boutiques in the luxury developments too.
