Perched atop a lush hillside The Lookout is a new four bedroom villa which holds a commanding position overlooking Jolly Harbour, the calm west coast of Antigua and the turquoise Caribbean sea. The property located in the Sugar Ridge hotel development is a newly built property with an open plan airy living area opening onto the spectacular view of the west coast and sunset.
The house has four ensuite bedrooms, pool and large open living area which opens up on to a covered verandah, pool area, deck and gazebo for alfresco dining and cocktails while watching the world go by. The lounge area has one wall which is almost entirely made up of sliding glass doors which open up to transform the area into a perfect inside, outside living space. The combination of these two areas allowing the kitchen and lounge to open up seamlessly to the deck and pool making a huge open living area.
The kitchen is well structured with an island cooking area allowing the “chef” to enjoy the view whilst preparing food or drinks, the island also allows for a more communal feel to the kitchen and lounge area connecting it to the outside decking area.
The ensuite bathrooms are spacious with his and hers sinks and rainfall showers providing a feeling of luxury and opulence to each of the bedrooms. Each bedroom has an American king sized high bed and high pitched ceilings further adding to the feeling of luxury and space in the house. For those especially hot days each bedroom has air conditioning and fans to allow sleeping in a cooler tranquil space after a day in the sun at the beach.
The decking area is well designed allowing for a good deal of shade to be provided whilst providing very light and open areas for relaxing out of direct sunlight. The infinity pool wrapped by the decking area provides excellent vistas from within the pool or the deck area and is second to none for watching the Caribbean sunset with a rum punch.
