Galleon Beach, Antigua
Galleon Beach, the perfect getaway beach with beautiful calm waters and an exceptionally long stretch of golden sands. Being one of two prominent beaches secluded at the base of undulating hills and rugged coastal cliffs within Antigua's National Park, and accessible only by car from English Harbour or by boat, Galleon Beach is well known for its incredible snorkelling conditions along with its amazing array of marine life including many turtle sightings. It has many natural geographical rock formations, including the Pillars of Hercules, created by the wind, rain and sea.
Located within Freeman's Bay, in English Harbour, Galleon Beach has to be one of the most sought after locations in the world. Its abundance of dining and entertainment opportunities within a two mile radius, its wonderful walking trails, a chance to watch sailing and mega-yachts as they journey into English Harbour and yet still have the perfect place to swim and relax away from the hustle and bustle of exploring the popular historic Nelson's Dockyard and all it encompasses.
