We needed something different.
WHY MOST FURNISHED VILLAS FAIL WITHIN YEARS
There's a dirty secret in luxury property development.
Most furnished villas look incredible on launch day. Six months later, the outdoor furniture is warping. The fabrics are staining. The soft furnishings feel tired.
It's not bad luck. It's bad sourcing.
The deeper issue is that most developers buy furniture from showrooms. Nobody has actually tested the materials against the environment, the rental turnover, or the climate.
What happens to a property that looks worn before it's even stabilised as an investment? It underperforms. Every time.
We decided to do it differently with the Oasis Collection.
WHAT FLYING TO INDIA ACTUALLY SOLVED
We didn't order furniture online. We didn't send a mood board and hope for the best.
We flew to Jodhpur and spent days with Jitika, the interior designer behind the entire Oasis Collection furniture package.
We touched fabrics. We sat on mattresses. We matched woods in person.
The brief was clear from the start:
- Coastal and modern, without being generic
- Hard-wearing enough for high rental turnover
- Easy to maintain for owners who relocate full-time
- Materials that age beautifully rather than deteriorate
Jitika brought the vision to life from a strong foundation. We already had the fixed interiors. She worked from there, choosing materials suited to extreme climates, because India demands the same durability the Caribbean does.
The result is furniture we have personally tested. We have been on the mattresses. We have walked on the rugs. We know exactly what guests will experience.
THE HARDEST DECISIONS AND THE ONES WE GOT RIGHT
Durability was straightforward once you know what to look for.
Solid woods only. Acacia, mango and teak for outdoor furniture specifically, because teak ages beautifully and holds up against every weather condition.
The harder challenge? Designing spaces that work for everyone.
The living room was the toughest. When you're designing for one person, you design for their taste. When you're designing for renters, relocators and long-term owners, you need something that feels welcoming without being overdone.

What we can say is this: getting the balance right between complete and open, styled and liveable, that's what separates a luxury villa from a luxury investment.
